Press Conference

The world's largest study on babies with brain injuries kick started in India on 21 November, 2019,  to help prevent epilepsy. The press conference was held at 7.30 pm on Thursday, Nov 21 at Taj Clubhouse, Royapettah, Chennai. The British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr Oliver Ballhatchet, made an introductory speech at the inaugural press event.

Dr Sudhin Thayyil (Chief investigator, Imperial College, London), Miss Stuti Pant (Imperial College, London), Dr. Nurul Ameen (Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode), Professor Dame Tina Lavender (University of Manchester), Sir (Professor Dr) Sabaratnam Arulkumaran (Visiting Professor, Institute of Global Health Innovation, Imperial College, London, UK), Professor Mala Rao (Senior Clinical Fellow at the Department of Primary Care and Public Health, Imperial College, London ) and Professor Savitha Chandraiah (Co-investigator and Head of Obstetrics, Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bengaluru)  talked about the various aspects of PREVENT study.
